![]() My kids loved the Boogie Bear Surf, where you can ride a virtual wave. “Tak-It-Eesi-Creek” was one of the kid’s favorites, which is a lazy river that you can swim, walk, or ride a tube. The water park has some basic sections to it – a lazy river, boogie board ride, splash pad for little kids, big slides (which actually go outside the building!), and an area for younger kids. We changed into our swimwear, and headed downstairs. ![]() Soda in the machines were $3.50 and at the water park it was $4.50, so it would help to be prepared.Īfter checking in, the kids were eager to get to the indoor water park. ![]() I do recommend bringing some food and drink, even if you just bring snacks. The coffee maker was ok, but I preferred to buy coffee right by the front lobby and in the water park (it was about $2.50-3.00 for a Green Mountain coffee). It is very simple (with a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker), but you can save money if you bring some food with you. There is a small kitchenette in the room. We had a basic Standard Suite room with two queen beds, but you can also find some cool rooms at the lodge, like a room with a cabin within the room and bunk beds. We went on December 22, and the Lodge was completely decked out in holiday decorations as well.Ĭheck-in was quick, and we headed up to our room. The decor is very rustic, with a woodsy feel with lots of log and animal type designs. The Lodge has a very “Adirondack” type theme to it. We braved the snow and headed out in the morning to try to beat the snow. It was definitely a big surprise when we told them to get dressed and pack their swimsuits! Earlier this year we got a Groupon deal to visit during the holidays, so on the last day of school before winter break, the plan was to head out after school (around 2pm), but the kids got a snow day. The staff isn't knowledgeable that much and not very sociable eighter. We have been going to the Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom every summer for years, and we have wanted to check out their lodge, located in Lake George, New York. Tub/shower combo falling apart.Couldn't charge our devices outside of 1 sink outlet that we used on rotation. Clean but old and dated Even for a lodge. would I recommend it def No! And the hotel room, standard room needs some TLC. My 5yo had a blast but will I come back.no. No healthy options.no breakfast options outside of donout and sugary options so again unless u have a car and go out or eat the crappy breakfast there's no other choices. I packed ahead leaving from home and stacked the hotel fridge so we had a few options to relay on A Starbucks on site wt very expensive overpriced coffee and we have starbucks in Canada so even wt the conversion rate still $$$. Basically stuck eating 3 meals out and oh 6 flaggs doesn't allow snacks or pick nick so unless u eat b4/after ur stuck paying for overpriced junk.the outsoor water park was less severe in allowin in snacks so we had some kids snacks but that's abt it. Reduce ur prices and have pple not choose breakfast to compensation for the difference. Besides banana no fruits.no healthy choices. I'm not picky at all but eggs that r so hard and rubbery that I can hit u and hurt u wt them.sausage that's an unpleasant color to even taste and toast, bagels, cereals and cofee. Let me not even talk abt the breakfast Yes it's included but it's NOT good. ![]() It's not all babies that go to sleep early. It's a family resort but yet families wonder wt do do passed 5pm. Suggestions: Add a kids clubs Add an arcade room Add a small area for soccer or some outdoor sport An outdoor patio wt music even if just the radio Add smtg that families can do passed 6pm. We did mini putt and arcades near by but that's pretty much it so unless u have a car your stuck inside. So once ur done doing water/theme park and rides.ur basically done. There's NOTHING to do at night ( passed 5pm) inside the lodge and indoor water park which closes at 7. Honestly not worth it for 700$USD ( 1000 canadian ) yes 6flags was fun and we came foe our kids but it opens late ( 11am) and closes early.( 5pm) which family friendly amusements parl open at 11am? We dealt wt it but thats not cool. We stayed 2 nights/3 days at great escape lodge which included for us the water parks /theme park parking and breakfast.
